"We almost have to classify this
lubricant as a tool,
or at least as an accessory."
Z8 "ADD A DROP"
PreLube An anti-oxidant, hyper-synthetic
lubricant enhancer especially for MONEL valve-piston applications.
Applied to the piston BEFORE valve oil and works to lubricate every metal to metal contact
point necessary for a piston or rotor to work smoothly in the casing.
For top performance, we recommend application on a clean dry surface FIRST and
adding your
favorite valve oil later. Z8 also works great for all
French Horn and rotor
related lubrication areas on ALL types of instruments. (Also Z6)
"I have found Z8 to
be one of the most useful bottles in my shop. I have used it on everything from
t-bone slides, horn valves, where ever I'm having a drag problem. Seems
to work great! Feel free to use anything I've communicated to
who ever......"

~The Perfect Combination of
Performance and Efficiency~
Z8 contains NO Teflon, graphite or molly particles
Z8 is over 14 times slipperier than plain valve oil
Z8 helps clean built up tolerance reducing materials
Z8 reduces wear and increases passage performance
Z8 Saves Repairmen Time and TIME = $
You can use this powerful lubricant on ANY Piston or Rotor
valve, or rotor bearing; brass, stainless, MONEL or plated,
as well as trombone slides using oil or cold cream. Although Z8
WILL mix with any valve oil, DO NOT attempt to mix in the bottles. Z8
MUST BE USED FULL STRENGTH, on the valve and in the casing. After
working the valve or slide a few times, THEN add
your valve oil. IT WORKS!
General Instructions: After thoroughly
shaking the bottle, you CAN just 'Add A Drop' (or two) into each
valve slide tube and let it flow OR you can remove the valves, one at a time, and 'Add
A Drop' (or two)
on the piston and reinstall it with a rotating action. You can use more if you
wish, but two drops seems to do the job well enough. This lubricant will leach into some places regular
oil won't go and blends with any existing oil, although, you SHOULD NOT
PRE-MIX them. You can add Z8 to the
existing oil on the valve, but it is preferred to dry rag the casings, prime the valves with Z8 (as above) and then add
the oil of your choice after a few strokes. This product is not meant to
replace your present oil, only to enhance lubrication to help deal with the "Monel problem"
so you don't waste your time re-fixing something that you've already
fixed. Z8 will NOT FIX bent valves or casings, but it will
keep properly repaired valves working. For Trombone Slides:
Wipe off any old cold cream, then dry rag or clean the slide. Use a brush if
necessary to remove
deposits of cold cream from inside. Then, 'add a drop' (or two) of Z8 to each stocking,
"work" each slide rail a few times with a rotary action to coat the inside of the
outer slide tubes, remove and wipe off the inner slide (you do not have to wipe of the rails if
using slide oil), then re-apply new cold cream to inner slides and
re-install the inner slide. If using oil, just 'add a drop' (or two) to each
slide stocking. Use T85 Tune-Lube on tuning slides.
FOR LONG LASTING PERFORMANCE, without the
recurring drag associated with most products on the market. While this product is NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR
A GOOD REPAIR JOB it does tend to solve the problems associated with certain problematical
Monel valves with
GREAT success.
Compatible with any brand valve oil in the casing, DO
NOT DILUTE.
NOTE: Monel was developed by Ambrose Monel (?-1921) as an alloy of
nickel/copper in a 66/29 ratio with
traces of Cobalt, Manganese, Iron, Silicon, Carbon and Aluminum.
No wonder they're so much trouble. Pistons NEED THIS super lubrication
enhancer!!
Why waste YOUR TIME trying to KEEP a valve working after you've already
got FIXED IT ?
Helps make a
good repair job even better, faster and longer lasting.
No matter how you L@@k at
it.
This stuff works!

a bottle'; Cost just $5.50+s/h {1 1/4 oz.}
