       Eckroth Music in Bismark, ND
                          A warm place to be!

The end of the 1100 mile trek was in Bill Eckroth's driveway about a mile from the Seven Seas.  What a warm and inviting place.  Hospitality is NOT in short supply at the Eckroth household.  His wife, Mary Ann, hand made all of the home-style gourmet food offerings and fed about 8 or 10 of us who were visiting.  Mr. Eckroth's clean, modern music stores span much of I-94 across 3 states.  2 are in Minnesota, 2 in North Dakota and the 2 in Montana.  I have personally been in 3 of his stores recently and was at Art Pasco's shop in Bozeman in 1962, a store Mr. Eckroth later came to own.  Small world.

John SInz of the Billings, Montana shop did a clinic on 'the latest' in rotor bearings.

Here is Richard Sherman of the Fargo shop    This is John Sinz with, Dan and Sara
and Thaddeus Wight of the Bismarck shop.      Charney two years ago in Billings.
I apologize for not getting more pictures, but we were all very busy working.

I had come to Bismarck, this time, at the invitation of my friend Richard Sherman to give the Eckroth crew of about 12, more specialized instruction on the 3 dent machines they have and to acquaint them with some of the newer tools.  We also got into the newer, more efficient ways to repair trombone slides and piston valves.  I also showed them some other, "new issue" tools as well.
John Sinz, once again, gave a great clinic as I had seen him do previously in Billings.  It was nice to see Dan and Sara Charney again, they are also on the Eckroth crew over in Billings.  Milt Hansen and Thad Wight represented Bismarck.
Also in attendance, were Lucas Pemberton and Jeff Anderson of the White Bear Lake store in Minnesota.  Lucas also teaches part time over at the Red Wing facility with John Huth, Gene Beckwith and Ken Cance .
Finally, I would like to thank Bill and Jeff Eckroth for their hospitality and consummate professionalism in the music industry and for their "in house" programs to continue to improve the skills of their entire staff.
