The H59 Tenon Expander
Redesigned for 2006 to do more jobs!
Works great in conjunction with
the new H58 Tenon Shrinker

The new Heavy Duty H59
The new H59A
Triple Key Extruder.
The shiny spot on the front is a magnet to easily hold and keep the Allen key
handy.
The H59 was redesigned to be able to do a couple other related jobs, with accessories.
The main job, of course, is expanding and repairing the tenons of Flutes, Alto/Bass clarinets and
all types of Saxophone neck tenons. We are researching tooling for soprano
saxes for the future.
The cost of the all new H59 Tenon
expander is $114.50
The FIRST accessory developed is the H59A set of rollers to stretch
or "extrude" solid hinge tubes in lieu of swedging; this
helps saves the finish and helps make the
key longer and stronger. Especially handy for use on the hi-E and
low C# keys on many saxes, the whisper key on most Bassoons and the f-lever on various clarinets. There are three
radii sizes for Clarinet, Saxes and Bassoon. Not much squeezing is required, so,
proceed cautiously until you get used to the effect of the mechanism.
These rollers do a beautiful finished job, in most cases preserving the plating
or lacquer by advancing pressure, s l o w l y. Keep key on a
straight course. You may want to leave
the key "a little bit oval" or "slightly squared", NOT ENOUGH TO
NOTICE, to increase the strength, through the small amount of work hardening, to help prevent twisting or torquing of
the shaft while the instrument is being played. Do NOT just clamp down and
start cranking, be discreet.
The cost of the H59A Triple
Extruder is $144.50
