P83 ROD TAYLOR CABLE SET |
|
Named for Rod Taylor of Taylors Band and Orchestra in Akron, OH. Rod pioneered using the larger P82 Wood balls, in similar fashion to the way we have all used the smaller steel balls for many years. Several years ago, we made him a special cable so that you could tunk the balls in a little further and after the work is done, you can tunk the ball back out very easily. If you hang the right weight driver balls onto the cable properly, the natural strength or tension of the cable will keep the balls suspended in the air; so that they don't bang on the inside of the bore. There are 4 cables in the P83S set, 6 , 7, 8 and 9 in length, so that you can use the method over the entire series of large barrel balls, including the steel ones, which are smaller than the wooden P82s. There are also two threaded brass retainers, one for each end of the cable to keep everything contained and make it faster for assembly and disassembly, when changing ball sizes. |

We are happy to say that altogether our employees have 516 years of experience! Steve Wilbur, our shop foreman, has passed the 31 year mark. Katherine Neeley, our office manager, has been here almost 28 years. Linda Wilson, who works with pads and in shipping, has been here 33 years. In the shop, Curtis Ferree has been here over 22 years and 4 others in the shop are over the 20 year mark too. 5 in the shop have been here over 10 years and 2 are over 5 years. Cindy in the office is over 20 years and both Kate and Dawn are over 10 years. We have 1 newbie in shipping who has been here just a year (but worked for us once before some time ago). And of course, add to the above Cliff Ferree and Barbara Ferree who have been here since the beginning, 65 years ago! We all do our best to bring you quality merchandise and service. |
