Ithaca, NY 2003
Nov.1 ) Twenty-Six heads turned up at Ithaca to
glean the latest in left over "tricks or treats" offered at this
clinic. John Huth,
of Red Wing College in Minnesota presented two different clinics, and repeated one. Jerry Gilbert
and Wayne Tanabe gave an overview of several new products and ideas.

Room (18 x 24) was small, but lots of information
was dispensed and analyzed.

Hardy room for my little impromptu display. Jennifer Nicoletti and
Joe Butkevicius

Old friends, Ray Pappalardo and Andy Fuchs. Big John Sacerino and little
John Huth.
The facilities were small, but complete; clean and
comfortable and held at Ithaca College. The event was choreographed by Gary McCheyne of Hickeys Music in Ithaca.
Tools we featured, showed and explained were the
time saving and smooth New N87A Trombone Pliers, that can straighten the tubes as they remove
the dents; the fast P50 small brass dent
ball driver/retriever and the slick P50B update. If you already have the old style
P50 with the small black slotted sleeve, this keen update is only $22.50+s/h.
The NEW G44 Woodwind Rod Slotting Tool with the new smooth working, larger sized, heavy duty, fine toothed blade.
You can send in your older G44 to be re-machined (G44U is the update number) for the oversized blade
(G44B),
a
new blade will be installed and it will be returned to you for only $20.00+s/h.
The new blade (G44B) costs only about half of what the old one (G44A) did, and it lasts
longer. This is a very cost effective update!
Additionally, the NEW G83 adjustable socket reamer and accessories for reaming the
sockets square and true were featured and the optional bell socket adapter. Samples of the Z6, Z8 and T85 were shown and used. The Z8 Monel
Oil Additive even made the Chinese trumpet (which was on display) valves work quieter, smoother and quicker
and the T85 Tune Lube made its
slides workable, movable and smooth. Try these products to save time and
increase the endurance of your repairs.
The NEW French Horn P56 updated drive handle received a lot
of attention along with the NEW E98 Flute Tone hole Leveling tool and the modified
E97 Sax Tone hole Leveling tools. All of the E97 parts (rounds and diamond
discs) are available individually, so you can custom build to your own needs, if
desired.
It was a very long, information packed day, and I'm sure everyone went home with some new ideas and a longer
tool wish list.
