A valuable addition for the smaller brass,
The Z60-25AL (A smaller Power Disc for those precision little jobs.)

The Power Disc concept we developed nearly 2 years ago has resulted in a renewed interest in repairing
many brass instruments that heretofore would have been discarded or cannibalized.
I received a call from a Repairman working on several old, old Conn cornets.
The bell flares were so severe (flat, not necessarily smashed) that the standard
small Z60-25 Power Disc was too large. He asked if we could make one for
these older instruments, so they too could benefit from modern dent removal
techniques. We also talked about the benefits of using the Z6 lubricant
mixed with his petroleum jelly, and how that would help prevent scratches in the
silver or lacquer. Coincidentally, another
Repairman called in later that day, with nearly
the same request, except for piccolo trumpets. So, Curtis and I took this
as a homework assignment and the next morning, WE BOTH HAD THE SAME
ANSWER. Curtis had figured his answer based on the mechanics of progression,
while I
with my calculator figured ratio and proportion. We
tested it, and sent them out with a "if you don't like it, send it
back" invoice. To date we have not received any back.
This newest, special use Power Disc is $79.50,
(the same as the others in the Z60-25 series.)
