I stopped in to see John Martens, at his business, the
"Musical Instrument Service Center", which he started shortly after attending the Ferree Repair School back in 1967. He
has been servicing both Missouri and Illinois, since 1968. However, as usual, he was out kicking up dust for
more business. He learned well. Sorry, I missed him. That was okay though, because; he had Aaron and Brent keeping the place secure
and taking care of business. Aaron Chandler is the Brassman and Brent Augustson
is the Woodwind Guy. John insists on teaching all his people HIS WAY of
doing things, which is good; because he knows the right way and that way
there are no misunderstandings.
Aaron has been with John about
3 years and Brent about 9. These guys both appear to be very confident in their skills and work well together;
a bonus.
Arron Chandler does brass.
Brent Augustson does the reeds.
