The optional new collets are sized for 5mm, 6mm and 7mm and are numbered
accordingly. The standard collets, #0, #1, #2 and #3 were numbered years ago before we were
into millimeters and using this tool to swedge large hinge tubing on keys, etc.
This tool has also been used for years to shrink and/or repair French style open
tone hole flute grommets.
Now, we can use it to swedge loose hinge tubes on tuba and French horn lever keys as
well as some bassoons and larger
saxophones.
The new components are also priced individually to
help present P60 owners ADD the new metric collets to their existing tool
systems.
