This training session at the Technical
Training Center, was the second part of in a week long series and was mostly about the Z60, Z61
and Z61E dent machine components; how to use them, what to expect and the different set-ups
for various jobs on different instruments. Because these seminars are only
"aimed" at certain subjects, attendees are able to investigate other
repair aspects concurrently,
as they saw fit. For this reason, my friend, Bill Pritchard
of Bill's Musical Instrument Repair in Prophetstown, Ill., was there to
assist the technicians that wanted to go in a different direction.
We also demonstrated the
new P53 Trombone Slide Dent Ball Driver-Retriever and the N87A Trombone Pliers that
were introduced at the Red Wing Gab four days ago, along with
several other future tools to be premiered in Frankfurt. Of course, you'll see them
here first.
The seminar went very well, covered much ground and hopefully
everyone got all their questions answered, by lecture or demonstration.
