    New Z60, Z61 & Z61E Products to
help you do a top quality job faster.

What's the difference between a Z61 and a Z61E?    Answer:  THE MAIN USE.  Basically, the Z61E is a Z61 without the Sousa rods and accessories but, WITH the Z61-11 Tuba Arm.  (See explanation below.)

Don't forget to use the Z6 synthetic lubricant with every job, whether using the machine or not.  Helps avoid unnecessary scratches and drag.
Saves the lacquer, your tool surfaces and your arm; for another day.

Mandatory for use with the Z61-13 Aluminum Balls.
Make it mandatory for YOU, too!

The Z60 dent machine is the top portion of a complete dent machine.  There are two bottoms; one for sousaphone work (Z61) and the other for tuba work (Z61E).  There is no cost difference.
The Z61 and Z61E are the available bases to do specific low brass work depending on what is generally used in your geographic area or what you prefer working on.
If, you DO NOT INTEND to do low brass work, other than the bell and straight portions of the branches, we would recommend your using the New Z61S Floor mount stand, 9" X 9" (a 22.86cm square) base flange or the Newest Z60S Bench mount stand 6" X 6" (a 15.24cm square) base flange. These new stands hold the main Z60 part that does most of the work, firmly and at the proper height, for ease of operation.  They also allow for full rotation of the Z60.
If you call, Ferree's will make either of these stands to fit the operator.  This way the Z60 will be at the perfect height for you to be at your best.  As a rule of thumb, when you are standing up, your elbow should line up with the main working rod.  There is no extra charge for this service.
The Z61 is outfitted with 3 steel rods that are intended to do sousaphone branches.  The Z61E is outfitted with the New Z61-11 adjustable rod to do tuba bottom bows.  It is necessary to do a good job to acquire the optional Z61-13S Aluminum Ball Set which consists of 4 balls of, 2.75" (69.85mm), 3" (76.2mm), 3.25" (82.55mm) and 3.5" (88.9mm).  Use of Z6 lubricant is mandatory with these balls.
If you are going to do both sousa and tuba work, the most economical way to purchase the machine is to order the Z61E base and add just the Z61-1 and Z61-2 rods from the Z61 setup. The work done by the remaining rod can be done by the Z61-11 which is included with the Z61E base.   Just tell us what you want to accomplish and we will be sure you have the right set up, without duplication.
We are always improving our tools with little volkswagen changes, and the Z60 is over 40 years young and still getting better, year after year.  Many others copies have failed after short production time. Additionally, every tool and accessory built today will fit ANY Z60 EVER MADE.  We still have the first one ever built, for testing!
