Balls & Wheels?

Bayonets on the Dent Machine?  Oh, Yeah!

Balls, Wheels?  What IS the difference?

I don't know How or Why we adopted the 5/8" bayonet mount for all the dent machine balls (?) and wheels, over 40 years ago, but we did!  A few years ago, we decided that anything smaller than 3" would be called a 'ball'; and anything larger than that a 'wheel', because they had a 'spoke' across the inside for the bayonet mount to go in.  If fact, one of them has changed from a wheel to a ball, over the years due to production changes.
The 'balls' aren't really balls either, because they are not really round, they are barrel shaped; although they are kind of round to look at.  But, the working surface is a much bigger radius than shows.  That said; here is a list of part numbers so you can complete your set.  ALL STEEL!

All the above "dent balls" and "burnishing wheels" mount
with the standard Ferree's 5/8" type "bayonet mount".

NOTE:  All the REAL Round Balls (N80C, N80D & N80E) will now fit your Z60 dent machine by using the New Z60-14 rod (Standard equipment since 2002) with the Z60-14B (3/8" threads) or Z60-14C (1/2" threads) inserts.  You CAN have YOUR old Z60-14 rod modified; see "Rod Mod" under 'Services').   All new Z60/Z61/Z61E dent machines have come standard with the new Z60-14 rod since its introducton.  Another "volkswagen change".
